The Theatre of the Night: Working With Our Client’s Dreams

With John Monk-Steel UKCP Reg
on Saturday 5th October 2019

Information about the Training and day content

Dreams can be seen as gifts from our unconscious to our conscious, or the promptings of intuition, or gifts from spirit or just simply fascinating! Whatever else, they offer a way of working with an aspect of human experience that is timeless and ever present.

It is not uncommon for clients in therapy to present their dreams and an openness to such material may allow practitioners a glimpse into meaningful metaphors that can be used to bring about profound therapeutic work. Dreams allow the dreamer to present material in non- linear, non -logical ways which bypasses the internal censor and offer new understandings and perspectives on familiar situations. In this exciting once day workshop John will take the group through various techniques for working with dream material and leave you confident to approach dream material in new, creative ways. Participants will be encouraged to work experientially so please be prepared to bring some of your own dreams!
